Reflux laryngitis:

Inflammation of the voice box (larynx) caused by stomach acid backing up into the esophagus. Reflux laryngitis can cause chronic hoarseness and be associated with other symptoms of inflammation of the esophagus, such as heartburn. Many treatment options are available.
