Floppy baby syndrome:
A general medical reference to an abnormal condition of newborns and infants manifest by inadequate tone of the muscles. Hypotonia (inadequately toned muscles resulting in floppiness) in the newborn period and infancy can be due to a multitude of different neurologic and muscle problems.
